There is nothing more powerful, precious or potent than retreating with women in nature, off the grid, away from daily distractions that can bring about miracles!
This calling came to me in the Fall 2008.
As I sat for my daily meditation, which I have been practicing since the age of 17, I heard a clear voice say to me, “gather women at your home”.
At first, I was thinking, why? Then the voice came again, every month for a year! That was a very clear directive!
Whoa, I thought this is a huge commitment. So, I was a little resistant at first, then I realized it was probably in my best interest to follow the orders I was given. I already knew how important it was for me to listen and follow the guidance.
I constructed a Facebook event/invite for a Women’s Circle, not even knowing why I was doing this or what I was going to do at the Circle. I just made something up!
The first gathering was on a Sunday. In my meditation seat that morning while preparing for the day ahead, my mother and both my grandmothers came to me. All of which had passed. They were cheering and raising their hands in delight! I know they were very excited about what was about to happen.
At that exact time, someone called me and said my sister was on the phone and she was coming to the gathering. She asked me what I was going to bring for the altar? I had asked everyone to bring something special to share as we would be creating a sacred altar together. She said she was thinking about bringing Mom’s wedding rings, grandma’s cross and Vovo’s rosary. I sat motionless in awe for a moment and realized something really profound was about to take place.
This was the beginning of my journey creating safe and sacred spaces where women could be heard, honored and cherished no matter where they were on their life journey.
It has been my great honor and privilege to facilitate women’s retreats and gatherings for many years now. There is something profound and magical that happens when women come together and bring all of who they are, with a powerful intent. There is a magnetic energy that is generated, that brings about miracles in each other’s lives, community and planet. Every retreat I have led has been unique and potent. Every individual brings their own special gifts, medicine and wisdom. Together we ignite each other with our medicine, love and wisdom. Most importantly we listen to each other’s soul songs and remember them as our own.
